The London Borough of Camden works with Real Nappies for London to promote reusable nappies as an alternative to single-use nappies.

If you are a parent with a baby under 18 months, or a parent-to-be, living in Camden you are eligible to apply for a free £54.15 voucher to buy reusable nappies or contribute to a paid-for washable nappy laundry service. The incentive is to help you save money and reduce the amount of nappy waste being thrown away in the borough.

LAMBETH

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH WORKS WITH REAL NAPPIES FOR LONDON TO PROMOTE REUSABLE NAPPIES AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO SINGLE-USE NAPPIES. THEY ARE CURRENTLY OFFERING PARENTS LIVING IN THE BOROUGH WITH A BABY UNDER 18 MONTHS, OR PARENTS-TO-BE, WITH A £40 VOUCHER TO GET STARTED USING REUSABLE NAPPIES. THE AIM IS TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF NAPPY WASTE BEING DISPOSED IN THE BOROUGH.

BEXLEY

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BEXLEY WORKS WITH REAL NAPPIES FOR LONDON TO PROMOTE REUSABLE NAPPIES AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO SINGLE-USE NAPPIES. THEY CURRENTLY OFFER RESIDENTS A £50 VOUCHER TO GET STARTED USING REUSABLE NAPPIES. THE AIM IS TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF NAPPY WASTE BRING DISPOSED IN THE BOROUGH.

SEND YOUR SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

1. Proof of Identity – e.g Driver’s Licence, Passport or Birth Certificate;
2. Proof of Address – All recent (in the past month) documentation e.g Recent Council Tax Bill, Phone Bill, Bank Statement.  (Please note: driver’s licence will not be accepted as proof of address). Please make sure the date is shown and cross out any information you don’t think is relevant. We just need to see your name, address and date.
3. Proof of Pregnancy or Birth – e.g – MatB1 Form (both sides), NHS Prescription Charge Card, Baby’s Birth Certificate or Scan Report. An official document with your name and the baby’s DOB or EDD. If you are applying for twins or more, please send the hospital scan report. You will receive one voucher per baby.

Once you have applied you will get a voucher for the value of £50 that can be redeemed at Close Parent.

When shopping online, you do not enter your voucher code into our checkout promotional code box, this will not work. Instead, please contact my us at hello@closeparent.com

Voucher requirements:

• can only be used to buy nappies, wraps, booster pads, liners, nappy grips, training pants or for a trial laundry service; 
• cannot buy swim nappies, buckets, changing mats, clothes or other such baby products;

Once you have used the voucher you need to email Close Parent with your name and voucher code number that the council has provided you with.

This is the same procedure for the other boroughs participating in the scheme however the value of the vouchers vary.
